Carol Anne (Himebaugh) Shattuck

Mrs. Carol Anne Himebaugh Shattuck, age 86, of Pilot Mountain, passed away peacefully in the early morning hours of Sunday, September 7, 2025, surrounded by her loving family at her home.

Carol was born on September 18, 1938, in Dewitt, Michigan, to the late Orval Himebaugh and Lucile Garber Himebaugh. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and sister whose love for her family was evident in all she did.

Those left to cherish her memory include her beloved husband, Dallas Dee Shattuck; her daughter, Deborah Dee (Joseph) Hendrickson; five grandchildren, Joshua, Michael, Rebecca, Dale, and Kara; and her brother, James Allen Himebaugh. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, William Edward Shattuck, and her sister, Bertha Connell.

Carol was a faithful member of Highland Park Baptist Church in Mt. Airy. She was primarily a homemaker but also worked as a real estate agent. In her spare time, she enjoyed sewing, crafting, and gardening, and she will be remembered for the warmth and creativity she brought into the lives of those around her.

A memorial service to honor her life will be held at a later date.
