Charlie Mae (Simmons) Brown

Ms. Charlie Mae Brown, age 97, of Westfield, passed away on December 22, 2022, at Pioneer Community Hospital of Stokes County.

She was born on April 24, 1925, in Stokes County, to the late Roy Reid Simmons and Millie Evelyn Flippin Simmons.

Ms. Brown was a homemaker and was of the Baptist faith.

She is survived by her son, Jimmy Reid Brown; daughter, Dottie Marshall and husband Barry; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Ms. Brown was preceded in death by her husband, William Brown.

Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, December 26, 2022 at Cox-Needham Funeral Chapel at 1:00pm with Rev. Rickey Rogers and Rev. Jerry Pardue officiating. Visitation will be held from 11:45pm – 12:45pm prior to the service.  Interment will follow at Old Orchard Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery
