Mrs. Dorothy Lucille Wilson, age 93, of Pinnacle, passed away on August 9th, 2024, at Lifebrite Community Hospital.
She was born on February 23rd, 1931, in Stoneville, North Carolina, to the late Levi and Vina Mae Sisk.
Mrs. Wilson retired after 41 years of working as a seamstress for Hanes Hosiery.
She was the epitome of a grandma, who taught us how to love. She loved her family fiercely. She was spunky, feisty, strong-willed, good-hearted, and fought right up to the end. If she loved you, you knew it, and likewise if she didn’t!
Her last years were spent loving, caring, and protecting her baby doll, who provided her comfort and companionship. She was the hardest-working, strongest, backbone of her family.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 70 years, Harry Conrad Wilson. She told us recently that “she and Harry couldn’t be apart any longer, she couldn’t be apart from him, and he couldn’t be apart from her.”
Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter, Sandra Wilson Roberts; son, Jerry Wayne Wilson; granddaughter, Melissa (Mike) Roberts Myers; grandson, Richie (Teresa) Roberts; great-granddaughters, Lauren (Craig) Williams, Tessa Roberts; great-grandsons, Jonathan (Lauren) Cox, Jordan (Kayla) Roberts, and Logan Roberts; 7 great-great grandchildren; niece, Linda Wilson Collins; multiple other nieces & nephews, and sister-in-law, Betty Fulp.
A graveside service will be conducted at a later date and will be updated as information becomes available.
Cox-Needham Funeral Home is respectfully serving the Wilson family.
