Ms. Elizabeth Kaye Bullington Freeman, age 78, of Mount Airy, passed away on October 30th, 2024, at Woltz Hospice Home surrounded by her loving family.
She was born on March 14th, 1946, in Surry County, to the late John Peter “J.P” and Novella Cruise Bullington.
Throughout her life, Ms. Freeman exemplified loyalty and hard work. She spent more than four decades working at Hanes in Winston-Salem, where her commitment and dedication were deeply valued by her colleagues. Beyond her career, she was a faithful and active member of Bannertown Baptist Church, where she found joy in worship and fellowship with her church family.
Those left to cherish her memory include her nieces, Kelly Cummings (Alan Stuart) and Julia Cummings; nephew, Kerry Cummings (Melinda); grandson, Max Cummings Flinchum; great-nephews, Charlie Cummings, Aaron Cummings, Ethan Cummings, and Kyle Cummings; great-nieces, Kristen Cummings, Emily Cummings, and Alexis Cummings; sister, Nancy Bullington Edwards (Bill); brother, Freddie Bullington (Pat); nephew, Blaine Bullington (Tina).
In addition to her parents, Ms. Freeman was preceded in death by her sisters and brothers-in-law, Regina and Tom Bodenhammer, Joyce and Max Cummings; and nephew, Keith Cummings.
A funeral service will be conducted on Saturday, November 2nd, 2024, at Bannertown Baptist Church at 2:00pm with Pastor Mickey Cogdill officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00pm at Bannertown Baptist Church. Interment will follow the service at Brims Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family would like to express a special thanks to the Woltz Hospice Home of Dobson for their care of Ms. Freeman during her time with them.
