Faye King Obituary

Faye Ann King, age 88, of Westfield, passed away on May 9th, 2023, at Surry Community Health and Rehabilitation.

She was born on May 17th, 1934, in Surry County, to the late Gilmer Moser and Molly Slate Moser.

Mrs. King worked for JP Stevens and farmed as well. She loved to read and attend gospel music concerts.  Mrs. King loved children and was a wonderful mother, grandmother, and aunt.  Her favorite “hobby’ was taking care of people.

She is survived by her daughter, Cynthia (Cindy) King Boyles, with special friend, David Parker, and granddaughter, Ashton Elizabeth Boyles who were her world.

In addition to her parents Mrs. King was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Troy Ray King.

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, May 13th, 2023, at Asbury Evangelical Presbyterian Church at 2:00pm with Pastor Terry Collins and Rev. Ricky Rogers officiating. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at the Slate Family Cemetery.
