Fern (Key) Gordon

Mrs. Fern Key Gordon, precious and loving mother, and Grandmother, age 87, of Pilot Mountain, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, August 6, 2022.

She was born on August 18, 1934, in Yadkin County to the late Burgess and Lucy Key.

Mrs. Gordon was a homemaker and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. In her free time, she enjoyed doing word search puzzles.

Those left to cherish her memory are her son, Larry (Jan) Gordon; daughters, Gay Heath and Vickie (Junior) Lawson; grandchildren, Tracy Heath, Scott Heath, and, Samantha (Cody) Truell; and great grandchildren, Kaylee and Carson Truell.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard Gordon; her brother, Junior Key; sister, Nancy Nelson; and son-in-law, Bobby Heath.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 13, 2022 at 1pm at Cox-Needham Funeral Chapel. The family will receive visitors one hour prior to the service. Interment will take place after the service at Pilot Mountain City Cemetery.
