Frances Marie Frye Honeycutt was born on July 28, 1953 to the late Walter Frye and Nellie Lash.
Through her careers serving the campus security at Wake Forest University, WSFC Schools as a school bus driver, and serving the customers as a receptionist at the Stokes County Farm Bureau in King, her love, kindness, humor and distinct sweet voice impacted countless lives.
The ones she loved most are her family. Her greatest joys and proudest accomplishments were being Mom and Nana, and she loved us "greatly". If we ever left her house hungry or empty-handed, it was our own fault. Cooking and gifts were definitely her love language and she always strived to be a blessing.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Charles "Chuck" Honeycutt. In passing she will reunite with him, her beloved "Grandpa", "Mama", "Daddy" and cousin Kaye. Best of all, she shall be welcomed into the home, love, and arms of God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ who shone Himself through her more than she ever realized. He is LOVE (1 John 4:16). Even though we as humans don't love perfectly, when we do love, we are instruments of Him knowingly or unknowingly.
Fran is survived by son Barry McLean (Tina), daughter Sherryl McLean, grandkids Andrew McLean (Kayla), Matthew McLean (Taylor) and Kendall McLean (Lane), dear friend and former husband, Mac McLean (Sylvia), and "favorite" sister-in-law, Terrie Griffith. Other special beloveds include family, friends, prayer partners, neighbors, and helpers that are just too many to name.
Our prayer and belief is that Mama will now find rest eternally in the PERFECT love and peace that her heart always longed for, and we will see her again. She will always be remembered for her kindness and generosity, and her sweet voice will be missed more than words can say.
