Frank Andrew Hamby 1946-2026

Frank Andrew Hamby, age 79 of Shoals, NC. passed away at home on 1/22/2026.

He was born in Surry County to Andrew Hamby and Annie Lee Harris Hamby. He was the youngest of four children and only son. He grew up in Mountain Park, NC. He retired from Rexam after 30 years of employment.

Frank was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters Kathleen Hamby and Bonnie Osborne.

He is survived by his wife, Kathy Fulk Hamby, sister Linda Swanson, children Terri (Mark) Foster, Liza (Matthew) Kazee, and Anna (Kenny) Kilpatrick, his grandchildren Hannah (Josh) Jarvis, Samantha Foster, Wyatt Zajdel, Lucas Zajdel, Cole Zajdel, Ashton Burks, Kaitlyn Kazee, Colby Kilpatrick, and Emma Kilpatrick, his great granddaughter Riley Jarvis, and many nieces and nephews.

Frank will be remembered for his love of the family, gentle spirit and the lasting impact he made on those who all knew and loved him.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00pm on Saturday, February 21, 2026 at Shoals Baptist Church with Pastor Joey Lane officiating.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in his memory may be made to Shoals Baptist Church.
