Gloria (Shaffer) Knight

Ms. Gloria Shaffer Knight, age 85, of Winston Salem, passed away on October 8, 2023, at Mill Creek Nursing & Rehab of Winston Salem.

She was born on April 13th, 1938, in Sandy Ridge, North Carolina to the late W.O. Shaffer and Irene Simpson Shaffer.

Ms. Knight worked as a medical clerk and enjoyed pottery, flower arranging, and was also a hairdresser.

She is survived by special friends and cousins.

In addition to her parents, Ms. Knight was preceded in death by her husband, daughter and one sister.

A graveside service will be conducted October 12th, 2023, at Buffalo Cemetery in Sandy Ridge, North Carolina, at 2:00pm with Wayne Worrell officiating.

Ms. Knight’s family would like to extend their sincere appreciation to the staff at Mill Creek Nursing & Rehab of Winston Salem, Trellis Supportive Care, and the staff at Arbor Ridge Retirement Home for the care that she received during her time there.
