Inez Taylor

Mary Inez Taylor.  age 95, of Pilot Mountain, passed away on October 2, 2022, at The Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson.

She was born on February 15, 1927, in Surry County to the late Luther Green Taylor and Martha Alice Cook Taylor.

Inez worked as a farmer and was a lifelong member of the Pine Ridge Presbyterian Church.  She was a very religious woman and enjoyed crocheting and gardening.

She is survived by a niece, Sally Taylor; two nephews, Rodney (Rhonda) Taylor and Travis (Carrie) Taylor; great-nephews, Ryland Taylor and Pryce Taylor; great-nieces, Landri Taylor and Rhegan Taylor; and sister-in-law, Linda Taylor. 

In addition to her parents, Inez was preceded in death by two brothers, Orville and Paul Taylor; sister, Marie Taylor as well as an infant sister; and sister-in-law, Rosa Ella Taylor.

Funeral services will be conducted Friday, October 7, 2022, at 2pm at Pine Ridge Presbyterian Church with Pastor Rachael Brooks officiating. Visitation will be held from 1:00pm to 2:00pm.  Interment will follow at the Simmons Family Cemetery.  The community may pay their respects and view Inez at Cox-Needham Funeral Home from 8am-5pm on Wednesday and Thursday prior to the service and on Friday morning from 8am-11:30am.
