Infant Grace Irene Marion

Grace Irene Marion, beloved infant daughter of Saylor James Earnhardt and Olivia Grace Marion, was born on August 27, 2024, at 8:22 a.m. at Novant Health Forsyth Medical Center. After a brief but precious life, Grace passed away on August 30, 2024, at 9:56 a.m. in the NICU of the same hospital, surrounded by the love and prayers of her family.

Grace is survived by her twin brother, Tommy Plutus Marion, who remains in the NICU, and her devoted parents, Olivia and Saylor. She is also survived by her maternal grandparents, Matthew Edward and Pamela Jessup Marion; her paternal grandparents, James Robert Earnhardt and Rhonda Nell Ireson; her aunt, Elise Marion; and her great-grandparents, Janet Bottoms, Jim and Sharon Jessup, and Rachel Marion.

Grace was preceded in death by her maternal great-grandfather, James Richard Marion Sr., and her paternal great-grandparents, James “Jim” Robert Earnhardt Sr. and Mildred “Mickey” Harwood Earnhardt.

The family extends their deepest gratitude to Dr. Neelam Pandhi, Dr. Art Payne, and the entire Emergency Room, Labor and Delivery, and NICU staff at Novant Health Forsyth Medical Center for the compassionate care they provided to Grace and the family during this difficult time.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Grace’s memory to the Novant Health Forsyth Medical NICU or the Ronald McDonald House of Winston-Salem.
