James Foy Anthony

James Foy Anthony, 74, passed away at Central Continuing Care on June 18, 2020.  Born August 22, 1945, he was the son of Porter and Pearl Holyfield Anthony.  He leaves behind to cherish his memory, a brother and sister-in-law and special caregivers, Jackie and Martha Lane; two brothers-in-law, Rex Fulk, Marvin Bledsoe; special niece and caregiver, Cindy Marion, and a host of nieces and nephews. Mr. Anthony was preceded in death by his parents; his beloved wife of over fifty years, Claudia Boyles Anthony; and a brother, Henry Anthony.

While he and Claudia were able, dancing was a favorite activity and they would spend weekends at the dancehall in Old Richmond enjoying their time, dancing together.  Fishing and BINGO were pastimes he thoroughly enjoyed along with watching baseball, football, and NASCAR.  He especially enjoyed his weekly visits with family over his favorite meal of Kentucky Fried Chicken. 

A private graveside service will be held by the family on Saturday, June 20, 2020 at 4:00 PM at Pine Hill Community Church Cemetery.
