Mr. James DeLanney Holyfield, 64, Ararat, passed away at home, surrounded by his loving family on Tuesday, February 16, 2021. James was born in Forsyth County on December 30, 1956 to James and Margaret Vipperman Holyfield. He was employed as a pipe fitter and welder in the HVAC industry. Left to cherish his memory is his father, James (Frances) Holyfield, a son, James Adam Holyfield, a daughter, Cynthia Faye (Brian) Lorish, two grandchildren, whom he adored, Brittany Morgan (Aaron) Eubanks and Blake Michael Lorish; a sister, Debra Lynn (Freddie) Caudle, and a nephew, Jeremy Wilson.

The family will hold a private graveside service with Rev. Barry Clement officiating.

Cox-Needham is respectfully serving the Holyfield family.
