Jean (Carr) Fleshman

Mrs. Jean Fleshman, age 73, of King, passed away on November 29, 2023, at her home surrounded by her loving family.

She was born on June 1st, 1950, in Greenbrier, West Virginia, to the late Howard and Hazel Conley Carr.

Mrs. Fleshman worked as a substitute teacher at Pinnacle Elementary School after teaching preschool for several years. She loved shopping, teaching, and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She loved attending church and was of the Baptist faith.

She is survived by her husband, Ronald Curtis Fleshman; sons Rodney Fleshman (Donna), Jonathan Fleshman (Tina); sisters Juanita Hanson, Sue Welker (Bill), Brenda Harris, Linda Gibson (Robert); brother Justin Carr (Jan); 4 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Fleshman was preceded in death by her brother, Scotty Carr.

A visitation will be held Sunday, December 3rd, 2023 at Christian Community Baptist Church in Pilot Mountain at 2:30pm. A funeral service will be held Sunday, December 3rd, 2023 at Christian Community Baptist Church in Pilot Mountain at 3:30pm. Interment will follow the funeral service in the Christian Community Baptist Church Cemetery.
