Jeffrey Wayne Spencer-Chappell

Jeffrey Wayne Spencer-Chappell, born on June 18, 1964, in Alleghany County to Darrell Clayton Chappell and Carol Dean Richardson Chappell, passed away peacefully on Friday, August 2, 2024 at his home in Mt. Airy, surrounded by his loved ones.

Jeffrey served honorably in the Army and later worked as a lineman for ULCS. He will be deeply missed by those who were fortunate to know him and be loved by him.

He leaves behind his son, Jonathan Spencer; his daughter, Kimberly (Brady) Wright; his father, Darrell Clayton Chappell; his mother, Carol Chappell; and his sister, Annette Flores. Jeffrey was also a proud grandfather to Adriana Hawks, Brooke (Jacob) Poole, Bradley Owens, William Wright, Gabriel (Taylor) Sechrist, Haven Sechrist, and Kinston Wright, and a great-grandfather to four great-grandchildren, with another great-grandchild arriving in February of 2025.

Jeffrey was preceded in death by his sister, Cindy Boyd.

A funeral service to honor Jeffrey's life will be held at 2:00pm on Monday, August 5th at New Kingdom Ministries in Mt. Airy. Visitation will be held at the church one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow on the Spencers family property.
