Jerry Stephen Allen

Jerry Stephen Allen, 75, of Pinnacle, passed away at his home, July 23, 2021, surrounded by his loving family. Born January 7, 1946, he was the son of William Harrison and Dorothy Griffith Allen. He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his wife, Myrtle Patricia Bourne Allen; three sons and daughters-in-law, Stephen Ross (Wendy) Allen, Jeremiah Bradley (Ashlyn) Allen, Patrich Griffith Allen; one daughter and son-in-law, Melissa (John) Peoples; twelve grandchildren, JoHanna Rintaniemi, Danny Surratt, Tiffany Allen, Ethan Hnasko, Jacob Allen, Sophie Allen, Elizabeth Allen, Emily Allen, Kendriana Allen, Elijah “Bubba” Allen, Chelsey Peoples, Courtney Peoples; and one great-grandchild, Meredith Allen.

Jerry was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, William “Willie” Allen, James “Jimmy” Allen; and two sisters, Louise Allen and Martha Benson.

Jerry retired from Stroh’s Brewery after a long career as an industrial mechanic. He loved a good challenge and looked for things to tinker with, build and repair. His career kept him busy for years, but he always found time to spend time with his family. His humor and light-hearted nature will be forever cherished and deeply missed.

A memorial service to celebrate his life, will be held Tuesday, July 27, 2021, at 2:00 PM, at Cox-Needham Funeral Chapel. Pastor Lloyd C.Taylor will be officiating.   Family will receive friends after the service.
