Jerry Wayne Wall, age 78, of King, North Carolina, passed away peacefully early on Friday morning, June 28, 2024 at Rose Tara Senior Living. Born on December 16, 1945, in Surry County, to the late Ellis Greene Wall & Metta Doss Wall, Jerry was a loving husband, devoted family man & cherished friend who will be remembered for his kindness, warmth & dedication to those he loved.
Jerry is survived by his beloved wife of 54 years, Lois Marie Wall, who remained his steadfast companion throughout their life together. Their marriage was a testament to enduring love & commitment, providing a foundation of strength & support for their family. Jerry was preceded in death by his son, Jeffrey Wayne Wall; three brothers, Bill Wall, James Wall & George Wall; & three sisters, Bonnie Poindexter, Louise Hutchens & Katherine Atkins. He is also survived by several nieces & nephews who will fondly remember their uncle's love and generosity.
Jerry was a talented mechanic, dedicating many years of his life to working at Wall's Garage, where he was well-known & respected for his skill & dedication. His work ethic, integrity & commitment to excellence were hallmarks of his character & his legacy of hard work & dedication will be remembered by all who knew him.
A funeral service to celebrate Jerry’s life will be held at 2:00pm on Tuesday, July 2, 2024, at Peace Haven Baptist Church in Yadkinville, located on Boogerswamp Road. The service will be officiated by Dr. Jon Bowman, Pastor Danny Poindexter & Rev. George Evans. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church prior to the service from 1:00pm until 2:00pm.
Friends & family are invited to come together to honor & remember Jerry's life & the lasting impact he had on those around him. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Jerry’s memory to Peace Haven Baptist Church or to a charity of your choice. These contributions will continue Jerry's legacy of generosity & community spirit.
Jerry Wayne Wall will be remembered for his love of family, his generosity & his gentle, kind nature. Though he will be deeply missed, his memory will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know him.
