John Carl Arnett

John Carl Arnett, Sr., 80, of Westfield, passed away October 24, 2021, at Atrium Health Wake Forest Medical Center. Born August 21, 1941, in Summit County, Ohio, he was the son of Ora Carl Arnett and Wanda Louise Paige.  He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his wife, Sharon Poling Arnett; sons and daughters-in-law, Johnnie (Susan) Arnett, Jr., Steven (Beth) Arnett; daughters and sons-in-law, Kim (Bub) Groves, Lesley (Justin) Dillon, Crystal Arnett; and a brother and sister-in-law, Frank (Diane) Arnett; sisters and brothers-in-law, Donna (Ronnie) Cabo, Carol (Warren) Nicholson, Kathryn Gale Poling, Audra Virginia Poling, and Connie Jean Poling.  He was preceded in death by his parents.

A life lived full of compassion, caring and dedication, Mr. Arnett served his country in the United States Air Force, and, as a preacher for forty-two years, he served countless individuals, leading them to Christ. He also worked as a maintenance technician at Tyco Electronics for 25 years.  He found peace in his time spent out of doors, turkey-hunting, and tinkering.  John thoroughly enjoyed sharing time with his family and friends.   A wonderful husband, father, and friend, he will be deeply missed.

Mr. Arnett will lie in state at Cox-Needham Funeral Home on Friday, October 29, 2021, from 8:30 AM-4:30 PM.

A funeral service will be held, Saturday, October 30, 2021, at 1:00 PM at True Word Baptist Church. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.  The Rev. David Joyce will be officiating. Family will receive friends from 12:00-1:00 at the church.  Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
