John Tuttle Obituary

Mr. John Wayne Tuttle, age 78, of King passed away on June 11, 2022, at Novant Health Forsyth County Medical Center.

He was born on November 15, 1943, in Stokes County to the late LV “Pete” Tuttle and Ruby Dodson Tuttle.

Mr. Tuttle worked as a welding machine repairman for National Welders and served his country in the Army during the Vietnam War and was of the Baptist Faith.  He loved vintage racecars, especially Mustangs, and was member of the East Coast Flathead Ford Racing Association and Ponies of the Piedmont.

He is survived by his loving wife, Frances Mills Tuttle; daughters, Lisa Craddock (Daryl) and Regina Tuttle; grandson, Mitchell Dorsett (Molly); great-grandson, Zealand Wayne Dorsett; great-granddaughter, Vada Renee Dorsett; sister, Monnie Johnson; sister-in-law, Edith Tuttle; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews

In addition to his parents Mr. Tuttle was preceded in death by his brother, Kenneth Tuttle, nephew, Kenny Tuttle, and niece, Kristy Tuttle.

A memorial service will be conducted on Monday, June 20, 2022 at Mt. Olive Baptist Church in King at 3:00pm.  The family will receive friends in the church fellowship hall following the service.  Mr. Tuttle will lie in state at the funeral home prior to the service.  Friends and family may pay their respects from Thursday afternoon through Saturday afternoon.
