John Glenn White
Obituary
Mr. John Glenn White, age 93, of Pilot Mountain, NC passed away at home on March 5, 2022.
Mr. White was born on November 17, 1928, in Surry County, North Carolina, to the late James E. and Mattie Pratt White.
Before his retirement, Mr. White worked as a bookkeeper at Scenic Motors, and proudly served in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Korean War. He was of the Baptist faith.
Mr. White is survived by his loving wife, Linda Marshall White of Pilot Mountain, as well as his son Shane White and wife, Amy of Pilot Mountain; two grandchildren, Madison and Caleb Lawson.
In addition to his parents, Everette and Mattie White, he was predeceased by his daughter, Shanda Bree Lawson; a brother, Edward White; and a sister Irene Ayers and her husband; and his brother-in-law, Howard Ayers of Winston Salem.
Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, March 11, 2022, at Beulahland Baptist Church at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Daniel Ritchey and Pastor Roger Miller officiating. Visitation will be at Cox-Needham Funeral Home on Thursday, March 10, 2022, from 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm. Interment will follow at Skyline Memory Gardens, in Mount Airy, North Carolina with full military honors provided by Mount Airy VFW Post 2019 and Pilot Mountain VFW Post 9436.
