Joseph David Lawson

Mr. Joseph David Lawson, age 67, of Pilot Mountain, passed away on July 8, 2022, at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center.

He was born on November 20, 1954, in Forsyth County, to Denola McRoberts Lawson and the late JD Lawson.

Mr. Lawson worked in the textile industry as a dye operator and also worked as a truck driver.  He enjoyed hunting and fishing in his free time.

Joseph is survived by his loving wife, Vickie Dunmon Lawson; his mother, Denola Lawson; a brother, Billy (Patricia) Lawson; a sister, Patty (John) Eaton; sister-in-law, Kathy (Randy) Dunmon; brother-in-law, Barry (Tina) Dunmon; nephew, Ryan (Ashley) Dunmon; and several more beloved nieces and nephews.

In addition to his father, Mr. Lawson was preceded in death by his brother, Donnie Lawson.

A memorial service will be conducted on  Tuesday, July 12, 2022, at 4:00pm at Cox-Needham Funeral Chapel with John Hylton officiating. The family will receive visitors immediately following the service.
