Josephine Mikels Coe

Mrs. Josephine Mikels Coe, age 95, of Ararat, NC, passed away on September 24, 2018 at Northern Surry Hospital. She was born on Februrary 19, 1923 to John Harrison Mikels and Louisa Owens Mikels.

Mrs. Coe is survived by her loving husband of 77 years, Clifton Nathaniel Coe; her sons Roger Wayne Coe and wife, Judy and Donald Gray Coe and wife, Joan and Larry Dean Coe and wife, Debbie; her daughters Peggy Jo Coe Childress and husband, Louie and Patty Christine Coe Childress and husband Don; her eleven grandchildren; her 28 great-grandchildren; and her one great-great grandchild.  

She was predeceased by her father, John Harrison Mikels; her mother, Louisa Owens Mikels; her two brothers; and her two sisters.

A funeral service will be conducted on Thursday, September 27, 2018 at Pine Hill Church at 2:00P.M. with Rev. Jeff Moran, Michael Thames, Terry Lee Coe and Barry Wood officiating. Interment will follow at Pine Hill Church.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, September 26, 2018 from 6:00PM to 8:00PM at Cox-Funeral Funeral Home.
