Julia (Brinkley) Vipperman

Mrs. Julia K. Vipperman,  age 77, of Mount Airy, passed away on August 11, 2022, at Twelve Oaks Assisted Living.

She was born on November 27, 1944, in Randolph County,  to the late Coley Roosevelt Brinkley and Beulah Jessup Brinkley.

Mrs. Vipperman spent her working years in the hosiery industry as a machine operator. She was member of the People’s Church in Mount Airy.  In her free time, she liked to play bingo and attend yard sales.

She is survived by her sons, Gary (Tonya) Vipperman and Greg (Deborah) Vipperman; grandchildren, James (Erin) Hastings, Kayla (Jason) McNiel, Chance Vipperman, Daniel (Ashley) Vipperman, Ashley (Kevin) Vaughn, Alicia Vipperman, Tyler (Jessica) Vipperman, Brandy Farmer, Dustin Tilley, and Dakota Tillley; great grandchildren, Jayden and Garret Hastings, Nataliegh and Jaxon McNiel, Nola and Emmarie Vipperman, Reegan Vaughn, Ian Mayol, Shaylee Graham, Leif White, Keagan Vipperman and Shaylee Tilley; brothers, Dan Brinkley, Rev. Eugene Brinkley, and Stanley Brinkley; and a sister, Sue Brinkley Cook.

In addition to her parents Mrs. Vipperman was predeceased by her husband, Oza Vipperman; son, Andy Vipperman; brother, Robert Brinkley; sister, Joyce Brinkley Perryman; and long time boyfriend, Max Cook.

Funeral services will be conducted Monday, August 15, 2022 at Cox-Needham Funeral Chapel at 2:00pm with Barry Clement and Rev. Gene Brinkley officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Simmons Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in Pilot Mountain.
