Mr. Justin “Juice” Wayne Martin, age 77, of Rural Hall, passed away on Monday, June 27, 2022, at Novant Health Forsyth Medical Center.
He was born on April 3, 1945, in Stokes County to the late Charles Otis Martin and Vellie Jane Hooker Martin.
Mr. Martin spent 38 years as a mechanic at RJ Reynolds and was a member of Poplar Springs Christian Church. He enjoyed NASCAR, sports in general (especially the LA Dodgers and UNC Tarheels), and classic TV westerns. Justin was a kind, gentle, sweet soul who was deeply loved by everyone, especially his wife, for whom he was a friend, shopping companion, vacation partner, and caregiver for 33 years. Nobody will ever replace him, and he will be missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his loving wife, Sharon Jessup Martin; son, Gary Martin; daughter, Beverly (Mark) Barr; grandsons, Zach Barr and Corey Barr; granddaughter, Brooklyn Martin; brother, Dewey Martin; sisters, Lavinia Fouts, Shelby Cooke, and Linda (Bill) Brindle; special brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Harold and Janice Sawyers; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents Mr. Martin was preceded in death by his son, Robbie Martin; brothers, Ronald Martin, Donald Martin, Lindbergh Martin, Calvin Martin, Billy Martin, Denville Martin, and Clarence Martin; as well as a sister, Louise Jessup.
Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, July 5th, 2022, at 3:00pm at Cox-Needham Funeral Chapel with Minister Don Wallace officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Old Westfield Friends Cemetery. It is requested that visitors wear masks to the service to ensure the safety of all in attendance.
Mr. Martin will lie in state at Cox-Needham Funeral Home beginning late afternoon of Saturday, July 2nd, 2022.
