Kenneth Cary Beasley, 77, of King, passed away Friday July 19, 2024 at Forsyth Medical Center. He was born on June 10, 1947, in Stokes County to Mary Pocahontas Moss Beasley and Lucius Beasley. Cary retired from Bassick-Sack/Ilco Unican after 50 years of employment. He also worked at Imperial Vault for 38 years. He graduated from the first graduating class of North Stokes High School and continued his education at Forsyth Tech to be a tool and die maker.
In 1968 Cary was invited to be a delegate to the Republican National Convention.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother Thomas Merrell Beasley, and one sister Ruby Beasley Chandler. Surviving are his sister Louise Beasley Welborn, and his brother Frank Beasley (Virginia) and 14 devoted nieces and nephews. He is also survived by several great nieces and nephews, and many cousins. He was loved by his family and many good friends. Among his good friends, special thanks go to Wanda Cockerham and his lifelong friends Fred Vaden, Norman Vaden and Sammie Martin.
He was kind to all and gave freely in many ways to friends, family and neighbors whenever there was a need, and visited with many of them regularly. His kindness, generosity and caring will be missed by many!
He was also an animal lover and tended to many animals both domesticated and wild.
A funeral service will be held at Cox- Needham Funeral Home on Saturday July 27th, 2024 at 2:00pm, with Rev. Robert Collins officiating. Interment will follow at Big Creek Primitive Baptist Church.
The family will receive friends from 1:00pm to 2:00pm at Cox-Needham Funeral Home on Saturday, July 27th, 2024.
The family also welcomes friends to drop in to the home of Frank and Virginia Beasley at 764 Sommerdale Court, Rural Hall, NC on Friday afternoon, or Saturday afternoon after the interment.
