Obituary

Kenneth Swift, age 75, of Elkin, passed away on February 22, 2022 at Northern Regional Hospital.

Mr. Swift was born on May 15, 1946 in Surry County, to the late Lester Swift and Pearlie Cain Swift.

He worked as a painter and carpenter and loved working with his hands.  Mr. Swift also played the guitar and always sang at church.

Mr. Swift is survived by his sons, Kenneth Ray (Mary) Swift, Jr. and Mike Swift; daughters, Teresa (Gray) Potts and Lisa (Brian) Byrd; grandchildren Bella Potts, Toby Potts, Gracie Reece, Tiffany Rose Swift, Brandon Swift, Allie Byrd, Michael Byrd, Brianna Byrd, and Makenzie Byrd; and great grandchildren, Dominic Handy, Elijah Handy, and Thaddeus Lyter .

In addition to his parents Mr. Swift was preceded in death by his granddaughter Baily Lynn Potts.

Funeral services will be conducted March 2, 2022, at Cox-Needham Chapel at 1pm with Brother Darrell Price officiating. Interment will follow at Tru-Way Baptist Church Cemetery
