Mr. Kenneth Wayne White, age 80, of Pinnacle, passed away on January 11th, 2025, at Forsyth Medical Center surrounded by his loving family.
He was born on November 24th, 1944, in Stokes County, to the late Lamon Aaron and Hazel Rutledge White.
Mr. White devoted 35 years of his life to R.J. Reynolds, where his commitment and work ethic left a lasting impact. Following his retirement, he continued to serve his community by working with Stokes County Schools, where he was cherished by colleagues and students alike.
Beyond his professional life, he was a proud family man who found immense joy in spending time with his loved ones.
He enjoyed feeding his deer and caring for his grand dogs, finding peace and joy in the simple pleasures of life. Mr. White dedicated many years as a volunteer with the Pinnacle Volunteer Fire Department, serving his community with pride and selflessness.
Known as “Pa,” he treasured watching his grandchildren play softball and soccer, cheering them on with love and enthusiasm.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 60 years, Janie S. White; son, Joseph “Joey” White and wife Melissa; daughter, LeeAnn W. Handy and husband Robert; grandchildren, Ashley Ostrander, Jacob White, Colby White, Harper Ballard, Casen Handy, and Zach Handy.
In addition to his parents, Mr. White was preceded in death by his brothers, Bobby White, Joe White, and Phil Ray White.
A memorial service will be conducted Wednesday, January 15th, 2025, at Cox-Needham Funeral Home at 2:00pm with Rev. Mike Sands officiating.
The family would like to give a special thanks to the Stokes County EMS, Pinnacle Volunteer Fire Department, and Forsyth Medical Center – CICU Units.
