Kenneth "Kent" Ray Whitt

Mr. Kenneth “Kent” Ray Whitt, age 76, of Mount Airy, passed away on September 27th, 2024, at Forsyth Medical Center.

He was born on November 12th, 1947 in Surry County, to the late Grover Kansas and Cora Stanley Whitt.

Mr. Whitt served his country honorably in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War, a period of his life that filled him with pride. After his military service, he pursued his passion as a self-employed drywall installer, building a career marked by hard work and dedication.

Those left to cherish his memory include his son, Chris Whitt; 3 grandchildren, Christopher Xavier Whitt, Trevor Reign Whitt, and Jazmyn Ceira Whitt; brother, Ronald Whitt; and previous wife, Sharon Smouse.

A memorial service will be conducted on Friday, October 4th, 2024, at 2:00pm at Cox-Needham Funeral Home with Rev. Gene Brinkley officiating.
