Leila "Inez" (Vaden) Simmons

Leila Inez Simmons, 88, of Westfield, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by family.  Born December 1, 1931, she was the daughter of Elder Millard Vaden and Essie Martin Vaden.  She leaves behind to cherish her memory, four daughters, Doris Kaye (Tommy) Perry, Sandra Diane (Tony) Rigney, Teresa Simmons (Garry) Joyce, and Regina Simmons (Mark) Wood; eleven grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; five great-great grandchildren; and a sister, Earlene Harada of New Mexico.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Johnnie L. Simmons; three brothers, Grady, Carl, and Royce Vaden; and four sisters, Dorothy Vaden, Maphy Barker, Edith Owens, and Elva Bondurant.

There will be a private family graveside service on Sunday, April 26, 2020 at Christian Community Baptist Church. The Rev. Kenneth Jessup and Pastor Roger Vaden will be officiating.

Memorials may be made in floral tribute or to Christian Community Baptist Church at 1180 McDaniel Road, Pilot Mountain, NC 27041.
