Lena Maebell McKinney Lowe, age 84, of Pilot Mountain, passed away peacefully on the afternoon of Monday, March 17, 2025, at Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson. She was born on May 27, 1940, in Caswell County to the late George Thomas Burton McKinney and Leona Maebell Powell McKinney.

Lena was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and sister who loved her family dearly. She will be remembered for her kind heart, gentle spirit, and unwavering love for those around her.

Those left to cherish her memory include her son, Tommy Lowe; daughters, Terri Middleton (John) and Treva Draughn (Chris); grandchildren, Jessica Salonka, Dustin McAdams, Dixie McAdams, Joey Holt, Krista Draughn, Haley Hurley, and Hunter Draughn; eight great-grandchildren; and her brothers, Alfred McKinney, Andy McKinney, and David McKinney.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Bobby Lowe; her granddaughter, Tara Beck; and her siblings, George McKinney and Mary Sue Wright.

A funeral service to honor Lena's life will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, March 19, 2025, at Cox-Needham Funeral Home. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Pinnacle Baptist Church Cemetery.
