Ms. Lillie Mae Cook, age 87, of Pilot Mountain, passed away at her home on May 17, 2022.
Lillie Mae was born on May 13, 1935, in Stokes County North Carolina, to the late Charlie Franklin Donathan and Susan Lillian Coins. She was a believer of the Baptist faith and was always happy and smiling. Lillie put her heart and soul into her family and children, and was a wonderful mother, and she was always right. She enjoyed cooking, especially big family meals. She was known for her amazing pinto beans, and potato cakes. Lillie loved her soap operas and games like Yahtzee and word searches.
Lillie Mae Cook is survived by her sons Ricky Monroe Wagner, Gary Martin Wagner, Jack Junior Turner and Tommy Turner, her daughters; Tammy Hatcher, Susan Lynn Jolly (Steve), and Anita Faye Lambert and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren, and special friends Tracie Clark, Elaine Roberts, and Renee Williams, and her special neighbors Leonard and Pam McCreary
In addition to her parents Ms. Cook was predeceased by a son Roba Anderson Wagner and daughter Sandra Kay Mereideth, as well as a grandson Clayton Wayne Lawson and her brother Monroe T. Donathan.
Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, May 22, 2022, at 2:00 pm at Cox-Needham Funeral Home with Reverend Mike Nelson officiating.
