Linda Faye Yates, 75, of Siloam, passed away at Forsyth Medical Center on Sunday, January 10, 2021. Born September 2, 1945, she was the daughter of Hassel Key and Opal Allen Key Wolfe. Linda is survived by her husband of 50 years, Fred Yates; two sons, Mark (Tammy) Rodgers, Tracy (Heidi) Rodgers; stepchildren, Carl Ray Yates, Gloria Holt, and Anita Yates; grandchildren, Carrie, James (Kaela), Cody (Erica), Dustin (fiancée Oliva); and great-grandchildren, Cheyenne, Bryson, and Waylon. She leaves behind one brother, Bobby (Frances) Key and one sister, Debbie Manring. Linda was predeceased by her parents and stepdad James (Jim) Wolfe.
Linda was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who took great joy in spending time with her family. She recently celebrated her 50th wedding anniversary. A great lover of baseball, Linda took many trips to see her beloved Braves play in Atlanta, Georgia. These are memories that her family will cherish forever. Linda possessed a wonderful sense of humor and loved to have fun. The sound of her laughter could put a smile on anyone’s face. She will be greatly missed by those whom she is survived.
A graveside service will be held at Brims Grove Baptist Church on Saturday, January 16, 2021, at 11:00 am. Officiated by Gerald Jones.
