Mr. Mack Jr, “Bill” Mikels, age 85, of Pinnacle, went to be with his heavenly father on Saturday February 3rd, 2024 with his son by his side at the Joan & Howard Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson. He was born on September 12th, 1938 in Stokes County, NC to the late Johnny and Minerva Scott Mikels. He grew up on a farm with his seven siblings until he went and served in the Army. He later met and married Dorris Bennett, with who he shared his life. He was employed at Hastings Company for over 25 years, manufacturing auto parts in King, NC. He loved fishing, hunting and most of all auction sales. He loved his family and he often just had friends and family to stop by, chat and have a cookout..
He is survived by his son, Aaron Mikels and granddaughter, Savannah Mikels; sisters, Linda Martin, Barbara Scott (Freddy), Charlotte “Juanita” Sands; brother, Tom Mickels; and several nieces and nephews. He had many friends but two special friends that were always by his side, Robert Newsome and Charles Watson.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Mikels was preceded in death by his wife, Doris Elizabeth Mikels; brothers, John Henry (Ped) Mikels and Ben Mikels; sister, Mary Jane Mikels.
