Major Patrick Francis Frossard (retired), age 71, of Yadkinville, passed away on June 16, 2025, at Forsyth Medical Center.
He was born on September 3rd, 1953, in Chicago, IL to the late Francis Eugene Frossard and Lydia Gray Frossard.
Major Frossard (retired) worked as an Avionics Officer, and retired after 24 years of service from the US Marine Corps. He worked for NASCAR for 30+ years, handling communication equipment for teams and NASCAR officials. With incredible dedication and pride in his work, he gained the reputation as the go-to guy in the garage for anything radio related.
Major Pat is survived by his wife, Elizabeth “Liz” Gregg Frossard; daughters, Katherine “Katie” (Gabriel) Folan, Shelagh Maeve Frossard; son, Colin Patrick (Tara) Frossard; stepson, Chief Electronics Technician Gregg (Cantley) Merritt; grandchildren, Cillian Robert Folan, Owen Colin Frossard, Aiden Pearson Frossard, Niamh Michaela Folan; sister, Margaret “Peggy” O'Mara Frossard (Steve) Yonover; nieces, Anne Louise Yonover (James Faklis), Jaqueline Lydia Yonover (Olivier Lecourtre), Katherine “Katie” Elizabeth Yonover.
Major Frossard (retired) was preceded in death by his parents, Francis Eugene Frossard and Lydia Gray Frossard.
A memorial service will be September 6th, 11:00 am at Simmons Grove Baptist Church located at 443 Simmons Grove Church Road Pilot Mtn. North Carolina 27041.
In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the Simmons Grove Baptist Church Cemetery Fund or Tunnel 2 Towers.
