Mary Frances Breeden Tucker, 86, of Pilot Mountain, passed away at her home July 24, 2021. Born April 26, 1935, she was the daughter of Clarence Soley and Carrie Painter Breeden. She leaves behind to cherish her memory, a son, William Heck McLean, Jr. (Tina); four daughters and sons-in-law, Billye McLean Waters, (Terry) of Claudville, Va., Sabrina Catherine Larson (John) of Cape Coral, Fla, Carrie Lee Anderson (Greg) of Ashburn, Va., Tonya McLean Lawson (Travis) of Pilot Mountain; ten grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; one brother, Morris Breeden; and one sister, Alma Mock.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 19 years, James Tucker; and five siblings.
Mary was a joyful, loving, and devoted daughter, wife, mother, grandmother. She adored traveling with her husband, Jim, and photographing their many adventures, together. She loved spending time with her family, laughing and sharing memories. Mary enjoyed nature and its wildlife. She loved “her” deer, turkey, flowers, and especially, hummingbirds, and smiled, radiantly, when she saw them. Her gentleness and loving nature will be deeply missed.
A funeral service will be held Wednesday, July 28, 2021, at 2:00 PM at Cox-Needham Funeral Home Chapel with Ed Hall officiating. Interment will follow in the Crestview Memorial Park.
