Michael Alford Obituary

Michael Patrick Alford, age 71, of Pilot Mountain, North Carolina, passed away near his home on May 11, 2022.

He was born on May 28, 1950, in Winston-Salem, to the late Leon Harmon Alford and Thelma McDowell Alford.

Mr. Alford worked as a mechanic for McLean Trucking and was later self-employed, specializing as an import car mechanic. He was member of the First Presbyterian Church of Pilot Mountain where he had served as an elder in the past. Mike enjoyed cycling, trains and classic Porsches and Volkswagens. He was also a member of several local car clubs.

He is survived by his loving wife, Debra Harrison Alford; sons, Michael Brad Alford (Amy) and Eric L. Alford (Missy); special brother-in-law, Mark Harrison; special friends, Jack and Linda Marion; and his pets Sophie, Gracie, Katie, and his buddy, Bo.

Mr. Alford was preceded in death by his parents.
