Moir Hutchins Obituary

Mr. Moir Taylor Hutchins, age 81, of Siloam, went home to see his Lord and Savior Jesus on August 14, 2022.

He was born on June 2, 1941, in Surry County, to the late Samuel Taylor Hutchins and Ranzie Poindexter Knight.

Mr. Hutchins worked at Winston Salem Forsyth County Schools for 32 years as an electrician. He was a member of the Dobson Church of God.

He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Ida Mae Hutchins; daughter, Pamela (David) McGee; son, Samuel (Rebekah) Hutchins; grandchildren, Matthew McBride, Joshua (Jessica) McGee, Taymond McGee, Noah Speaks, Selah Speaks, and Ezekiel Hutchins; great grandchild, Leyanna McGee; brothers, Rommie Knight and David (Rebecca) Knight; and sister-in-law, Patricia Pettry.

In addition to his parents Mr. Hutchins was predeceased by his step-father, Leonard Knight; sister-in-law, Wanda Knight; and brother-in-law, Terry Pettry.

In addition to spending time with his family, Mr. Hutchins enjoyed attending Church, gospel music, softball, and golf.

Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, August 18th, 2022 at 3pm at Dobson Church of God with Pastor Brandon Jones officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at the Dobson Church of God cemetery.

Floral donations will be accepted or a donation may be made in Moir's name to the Dobson Church of God benevolence fund.
