Myrtle (Thomas) Poindexter

Mrs. Myrtle Poindexter, age 86, of Siloam NC, passed away on Thursday, May 27, 2021 at Forsyth Medical Center. She was born on August 02, 1934 in Surry County to the late William Carl Thomas and Ada McCraw Thomas.

Before her retirement, Mrs. Poindexter worked in farming industry. She was a member of Friendly Chapel. She is survived by her son, Larry Poindexter and his wife, Sheila; sister, Jeanette Montgomery (Roger); and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Poindexter was predeceased by her husband, J. W. Poindexter; infant daughter, Susan Evelyn Poindexter; brothers: E C Thomas, Virgil (Buster) Thomas, Ray Thomas, Roy Thomas, and Junior Thomas; and sisters, Betty Wright, Joanne Sisk, and Mary Terry.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, May 31, 2021 at Cox-Needham Funeral Home with Pastor Linda Anderson officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will follow the service in Pine Hill Cemetery.
