Mr. Noah Mac-Rae Wagoner Sr., age 78, of Mt. Airy, passed away peacefully at his home early on Sunday, February 16, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on April 26, 1946, in Surry County to the late Melvin Levi Wagoner and Vicie Alice Luffman Wagoner.
Mac dedicated his life to his work as an auto body mechanic, taking great pride in his craft. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather who will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved him.
Those left to cherish his memory include his two daughters, Sandra Dixon and Joyce Wagoner, and fiancé Kenneth Hodges; his son, Noah Mac-Rae Wagoner Jr.; his step-sons, Timmy (Carolyn) Woods, Randy (Rhonda) Woods, Junior (Sue) Woods, and Terry (Kelly) Woods; as well as his beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife, Brenda Faye Pack Wagoner; sisters, Mae Burcham, Janie Garriss, Flossie Holloway & Oretha Newman; brothers, Bradford E. Luffman, Willie Luffman & Melvin Leon Wagoner; as well as his step-son, Dean Woods; and previous wife, Barbara Wagoner.
A funeral service for Mr. Wagoner will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, February 18, 2025, at Cox-Needham Funeral Home, with visitation beginning one hour prior. Burial will follow at Roaring Gap Baptist Church Cemetery in Lowgap. Rev. Buggie Woods will be officiating the service.
