Otis Bryant Shinault

Mr. Otis Bryant Shinault, age 62, of Mount Airy, passed away on August 13th, 2023, at Novant Forsyth Medical Center.

He was born on March 28th, 1961, in Forsyth County, to the late Ralph Otis and Rose Christine Spencer Shinault.

Mr. Shinault was a jack-of-all-trades but driving a truck was the job he enjoyed the most. He was a member of the Baptist faith and was a proud veteran of the US Army. He spent his time fishing, hunting, riding motorcycles, collecting zippo lighters, and trading.  Above all other things, Otis was a very loving and caring father and grandfather who will be missed deeply by all who knew him.

Left to cherish his memory are his children, Alicia Hoop, William Otis Shinault (Brittany), Justin Marshall (Jessica), Michelle Hall (Brian), Brandon Marshall (Brianna), Courtney Shelor (Austin), and Bobby Marshall (Sherri); wife, Kathy Pack; grandchildren, Bryant Hoop, Josiah Hoop, Kenzie Hall, Lydia Shinault, Colton Shelor, and Jaxson Shelor; brother, Matthew “Scooter” Shinault; cousin, Clyde Shinault; best friend, Frankie (Peggy) Marshall; and dear friends of the family, Kitty Astorga (Roberto), Martha Astorga, Emily Astorga (Tony), and Andrew Hoop.

Mr. Shinault was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, his uncles, and cousins, Granville “Tiger” Shinault and Arnold “Bud” Shinault.

A graveside service will be conducted August 17th, 2023, at Zion Hill Primitive Baptist Church with Woody Flippen officiating. The family will receive friends on August 16th, 2023, from 6:00pm-7:00pm at Cox-Needham Funeral Home Chapel.
