Polly Ann (Epperson) Long

Mrs. Polly Ann Long, age 74, of Pinnacle, passed away on March 5, 2023, at Central Continuing Care in Mount Airy.

She was born on January 6, 1949, in Surry County, to the late Mamie Elsie Epperson.

Mrs. Long was a homemaker. She enjoyed visiting with friends and relatives, cooking, working in her flower beds, and especially, coffee. She loved her cats and had many of them over the years.

She is survived by her daughter, Mary Ann Long of Pinnacle.

In addition to her mother, Mrs. Long was preceded in death by her husband of 20 years, Ishmael Worth Long, and her favorite cats, Molly, Daisy, Muffin and Gizmo.

Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, March 15, 2023 at 2:00PM at Cox-Needham Memorial Chapel with Rev. Gerald Jones officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Chestnut Grove United Methodist Church Cemetery.
