Ramey Shelton

Mr. Ramey Shelton, age 49, of Mt. Airy, passed away on November 28, 2022 at his residence.

Mr. Shelton was born on July 20, 1973, in Mt. Airy, to James Clarence Shelton & the late Pattie Sue Goins Shelton. He enjoyed fishing and working, but most importantly, he was a loving husband, father, and G-Pa.  

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 30 years, Donna Shelton; his father, James Clarence Shelton; sons, Jimmy Lee Shelton and wife Megan, Ramey Daniel Shelton; his daughter, Heather Evans and husband Cody, and his brother, Jamie Shelton and wife Carmella. Mr. Shelton was also the beloved G-PA to his three grandchildren, Ensley Hope Evans, Jimmy Lee Shelton Jr., and Gabriel Lee Shelton. In addition, he leaves behind several nieces and nephews.  

Mr. Shelton was preceded in death by his mother.

A memorial service will be held Thursday, December 8, 2022 at 2:00 PM at Cox-Needham Funeral Chapel with Reverend Walter Lee Terrell officiating. The family will be receiving visitors prior to the service from 12:45 PM to 1:45 PM.
