Ricky Junior Nelson

Mr. Ricky Junior Nelson, age 64, of Pilot Mountain, passed away peacefully on Monday night, January 26, 2026, at Yadkin Valley Nursing Center in Yadkinville.

Mr. Nelson was born on April 20, 1961, in Reidsville to the late Moir Junior Nelson and Dorothy Wallace Nelson.

Those left to cherish his memory include his daughter, Madison Nelson; sisters, Diane Wright, Linda Niton, and Denice Eller; brothers, Jeffrey Lee Nelson, Henry Wallace, and Tom Wallace; a niece, Katherine Nelson; and a nephew, Sam Josie (Lisa).

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, James Robert Nelson, and a nephew, Robert Lee Nelson.

Ricky was a devoted fan of the NC State Wolfpack and greatly enjoyed wrestling and baseball. An avid sports fan and a true family man, he was known for his love of storytelling—especially tales of his childhood adventures. His stories and laughter will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved him. He was employed in quality control at Valspar Chemicals for many years.

No formal services will be held at this time.
