Robert Ernest Boyd, Jr.

Robert “Bob” Ernest Boyd, Jr., 66, of Mount Airy, passed peacefully at his home after a lengthy illness. Born February 11, 1955, in Philadelphia, PA, he was the son of Robert E. and Rosemary Patricia Coulter Boyd. Left behind to cherish his memory are, his wife,of 20 years, Judy Ann Hall Boyd; a brother and sister-in-law, Kevin (Susan) Boyd, two sisters and brothers-in-law, Lori (Bob) DiFerdinando, Karen (Terry) Casey; six nieces and nephews, Shannon Casey (Drew) Dickinson, Terry Casey V, Jessica Waskiewicz, Ryan Waskiewicz, Kevin Boyd, Jr., Zack Boyd; a great niece, Rosie Casey; and his bundle of fluff, best friend, Pepper. He was preceded in death by his parents. A fun-loving, light-hearted, animal loving man, he enjoyed classic-rock, westerns, and deep-sea fishing. His courage and positive spirit were an inspiration to all who knew him. Spending time with his wife, traveling, and playing with Pepper were his joys. His bigger than life spirit will be deeply missed. No formal services will be held. Cox-Needham Funeral Home is respectfully serving the Boyd family.
