Rodrick Sands Obituary

Rodrick Michael Sands, 65, of Germanton, passed away at Joan & Howard Woltz Hospice Home on July 31, 2020.  Born May 31, 1955, he was the son of Oliver Lee and Patsy Sheppard Sands.  He leaves behind to cherish his memory, a son, Robby Lee Sands, of Germanton, NC; a daughter and son-in-law, Kristy (Jesse) Eaker of Linden, Tennessee; a brother, Scotty Sands, of Germanton, NC; two granddaughters, Autumn and Natalie Eaker, of Linden, Tennessee; and former wife, Wanda Gale Joyce, of Hohenwald, Tennessee.  He was preceded in death by his parents.

A loving father and friend, Mr. Sands treasured time with his family and multitude of friends.  He will be deeply missed.

Mr. Sands will be open for viewing, Saturday, August 1, 2020 from11:30 AM- 1:00 PM at Cox-Needham Funeral Home.

A graveside service will be held Saturday, August 1, 2020 at 3:00 PM at Quaker Gap Baptist Church in King, NC.  The Rev. Jack Darida will be officiating. 

The family asks, for the purpose of prevention of the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19), that those attending, please wear masks and maintain social distancing.  If exhibiting any symptoms or running a fever, please refrain from attending.
