Runie Needham Obituary

Runie Mae “Pat” Joyce Needham, age 96, of Pilot Mountain, NC, passed away on Tuesday, April 19, 2022.

Runie Mae was born May 1, 1925, in Stokes County to the late Cyphus Reid Joyce and Alice Inman Joyce. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, James Claude Needham and her sister Ruby Joyce Edwards.

She is survived by her son Freddie Needham (Eileen) of Kernersville and her brother, J. Roger Inman (Tootie) of Bermuda Run, as well as several nieces and nephews.

Runie was a faithful member of Hills Presbyterian Church, worshipping regularly until her health failed. The family would like to thank the staff at Priddy Manor Assisted Living in King, as well as Mountain Valley Hospice for their outstanding and compassionate care and assistance.

Mrs. Needham will lie-in-state from Friday, April 22, 2022 through Saturday, April 23, 2022, from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm, at Cox-Needham Funeral Home.

A private family service will be held Sunday, April 24, 2022, at the Joyce Family Cemetery in Pilot Mountain, NC.
