Ruth Snow Obituary
Mrs. Ruth Jewel Chilton Snow, age 84, of Dobson, NC, passed away on Wednesday, September 12, 2018, Pruitt Health Care at Elkin, NC. She was born on October 26, 1933, to the late John Lester Chilton and Zilpha Jackson Chilton.
She is survived by a daughter, Marilyn Johnson and husband, Garland; two sons, John Thomas Snow and wife, Shannon and Timothy Matthew Snow and wife, Teresa; daughter-in-law, Teresa Snow Mashburn; eleven grandchildren, Cole Johnson, Kelli Johnson Lickliter, Shane Johnson, Mason Snow, Daylen Snow, Gracie Snow, Brooke Snow, Wesley Snow, Zilpha Snow, Daniel Snow and Levi Snow; five great-grandchildren, Baylor Johnson, Christopher Lickliter, Carson Lickliter, Kobe Lickliter, and Ace Johnson; sister-in-law, Jo Ann Chilton; and special friends, Jennifer Smith, Nelson Snow, Shirley Nichols, and Mary Fay Freeman.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Bruce Hansel Snow; her parents, John Lester Chilton and Zilpha Jackson Chilton; a son, Bruce William Snow; a sister, Ruby Chilton Covington; and two brothers, Grady Chilton and Benford Chilton.
A funeral service will be conducted on Friday, September 14, 2018, Highland Park Baptist Church at 11:00 A.M with Dr. Darrell Tate officiating.
Interment will follow in Skyline Memory Gardens.
The family will receive friends on Friday, September 14, 2018, one hour prior to the service at Highland Park Baptist Church from 10:00 to 11:00 A.M.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made in memory of Ruth Jewel Snow to Pruitt Health/Pruitt Hospice.
