Sandra Lynn (Joyce) Whitt

Ms. Sandra Lynn Joyce Whitt, age 76, of Mt. Airy, passed away peacefully on Friday afternoon, July 4, 2025, at Universal Healthcare of King.

Sandra was born on August 11, 1948, in Patrick County, Virginia, to Mrs. Erna Evelyn Slate Joyce and the late James Weldon Joyce. She worked as a computer programmer for Westinghouse, where she was respected for her dedication and skill.  Among other talents, she was a gifted artist & loved spending time at the beach.  Above all else, she was a loving mother, sister & daughter.

Those left to cherish her memory include her loving mother, Erna Evelyn Slate Joyce; her only son, Brian Flippin; her brothers, Charles R. Joyce, Elder James K. Joyce, and Garth L. Joyce; and her sister, Cynthia Sue Joyce.

A graveside service to honor her life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 9, 2025, at Volunteer Primitive Baptist Church, with her brother, Elder James K. Joyce, officiating.
