Mrs. Sarah Jane Bennett, age 84, of Pinnacle, passed away on July 14, 2022 at her home.
She was born on June 27, 1938, in Surry County to the late Cicero Buck Kiser and Carrie Ellen Hamm Kiser.
Mrs. Bennett was a loving mother and grandmother and was of the Baptist faith. She loved the Lord and encouraged others to forgive each other, no matter what had happened in the past. She enjoyed sewing, puzzles, and playing cards, especially Rook.
She is survived by her daughters, Diane (Mike) McHone, Lucy My Bennett-Avalos, Brenda (Michael) Marshall, and Linda McMillan; a son, Charles Lee Bennett; sixteen grandchildren; forty-four great grandchildren; seven great-great grandchildren; and a sister, Betty Humphries.
In addition to her parents Mrs. Bennett was preceded in death by her husband, Eldridge Charlie Bennett; daughters, Kathy Hall and Mary Hall; grandson, Mitchell Gwynn; brother, Buck Kiser; and longtime sweetheart, Gray Dalton.
Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, July 24th, 2022, at 2:00pm at Cox-Needham Funeral Chapel. Interment will take place following the service at Volunteer Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery, in Pinnacle.
