Ms. Shelby Jean Kratzer, age 86, of King, passed away peacefully late Wednesday, May 28, 2025, at Cedar Hills Nursing Center in Clemmons.
Shelby was born on September 8, 1938, in Dante, Virginia, to the late Luther Ray Moorefield and Blanche Mae Crowder Moorefield. She dedicated her career to helping others as a dental hygienist for Dr. Jack Papier, a role she took great pride in.
She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Christopher Harland Kratzer and Cynthia Cardwell; her son-in-law Michael Cardwell and her cherished grandchild, Dustin Cardwell.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Larry David Kratzer; her brother, Robert Moorefield.
No formal services will be held at this time.
